Watching a video like this makes me have more sympathy towards the Middle Eastern nations. At least, to those innocent people who have no connections or intentions on committing terrorist attacks. Why must we have treated nearly every Arab that the military had seen as being hostile?
The events that had happened at Abu Ghraib also makes me think of other similar acts that have happened in world history. Some examples that I can think of that relate to this are the concentration camps that the Germans had kept the Jewish in; and the other concentration camps that we had kept Japanese immigrants in during WWII. These pictures captured at Abu Ghraib, as well as those that may have been captured during these other events, dehumanize the subjects by capturing them in an acquired lifestyle (for them) that is quite contrary to what we believe is a normal one. The pictures portray its subjects in an environment that no human should experience.
I believe that these pictures should be released, but with caution. Since many of these pictures are likely to be highly graphic, some audiences may not wish to see such an image. Therefore, the pictures should not be posted on a newspaper or on a news station, but on a government website, perhaps.
